Amid the growing flurry of end-of-the-decade lists, the Washington Post's "The Fix" political blog has ranked 10 U.S. Senate races as the best of the 2000s.

The 2002 Senate race between the late Paul Wellstone and then Walter Mondale against Norm Coleman ranked third, while last year's epic contest between Coleman and Al Franken took the fourth spot.
