Two people were killed when two vehicles collided head-on Monday night in Long Lake, in western Hennepin County, according to the State Patrol.
Two people who were in a 2010 Ford Focus died when their car collided with a 2000 Dodge Dakota pickup on Hwy. 12 at Brown Road, the patrol said. The pickup driver, a 54-year-old man from Maple Plain, suffered serious injuries.
Roads were dry at the time of the accident, just after 8 p.m., the patrol said.
Hwy. 12 was closed as the patrol investigated.
