At least two people died Saturday in crashes on Minnesota roads.

Chad E. Rannow, 47, of Silver Lake, Minn., was killed when the 2004 Jeep Liberty he was driving west on Hwy. 55 near NW. 90th Street in Wright County's South Side Township left the roadway and went into a ditch, vaulted off a driveway approach and came to rest at J&J Marine, according to the State Patrol. The crash happened just after 11 a.m.

Rannow was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol said. No other vehicles were involved. An investigation continues.

Minutes earlier, a 49-year-old man from Buffalo died in a crash involving a car and a semitrailer truck in western Hennepin County, the patrol said.

Steven D. Cullinan was driving a 2013 Infiniti M37X east on Hwy. 55 near Rebecca Park Trail when a westbound semi crossed over the median, striking Cullinan's car head-on.

Cullinan died at the scene. The semi driver, Michael Wojciehowski, 51, of Coon Rapids, and his passenger, Brian M. Anderson, 40, of Anoka, suffered noncritical injuries. All involved were wearing seat belts, the patrol said.
