Two brothers have been charged with two counts each of attempted murder in a weekend stabbing in downtown Minneapolis.

Cornelius Green, 22, of Minneapolis, and Devon Green, 23, who has no permanent address, are charged with stabbing two men about 2:30 a.m. Saturday near the Choice Gentlemen's Club, 245 2nd Av. N., according to Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman. They will make their first court appearance Wednesday.

According to the criminal complaint, the confrontation began when both victims and the suspects were in a pizza place about two blocks from where the stabbing took place. As the victims were walking, they passed an SUV and words were exchanged. The Greens got out of the vehicle, ran up behind the victims and began stabbing them, the complaint states. The first victim suffered cuts to his face and head. The other one was critically injured, stabbed in the neck from behind.

Police located the SUV at Hennepin County Medical Center, where the Greens had been dropped off, one with a cut hand.
