2 boys struck by pickup truck in Zimmerman

Two teenage boys were hit by a pickup truck Tuesday morning while walking near a Zimmerman roadway and were hospitalized at North Memorial Medical Center, authorities said.

The truck, driven by Barney Horvath, 88, of Elk River, struck the boys, 14 and 15, at 7:25 a.m. Tuesday, the Sherburne County sheriff's office said. One boy was flown to North Memorial by helicopter, the other was taken by his parents. The accident is under investigation.
