1. Hopkins, 2009 (31-0): Arguably the best high school team in state history, ranked fourth nationally in one poll. All five Royals starters went on to play Division I ball, led by Mr. Basketball winner Royce White.
2. Minneapolis North, 1995 (30-0): The first of three titles for sophomores Khalid El-Amin, Jabbar Washington and Ozzie Lockhart. The Polars even overcame the academic suspension of two starters before the title game.
3. Minneapolis Henry, 2000 (28-1): The Patriots' only loss was to national power Oak Hill (Va.) Academy. Johnnie Gilbert and Tony Travis led the way to the first of Henry's four consecutive Class 3A titles.
4. Marshall-University, 1976 (28-0): Only squad to have all five starters make the all-tournament team, steered by 5-6 point guard Ronnie Henderson. The Cardinals' winning streak eventually reached 53 games.
5. White Bear Lake, 1985 (26-0): Second consecutive undefeated season, led by seniors Joe Regnier and Larry Ogden. The Bears knocked off previously unbeaten Minneapolis North in both the '84 and '85 Class 2A final.
