Police are investigating a possible homicide Monday night inside a convenience store in St. Paul.
Officers were called to Quick Stop Market in the 600 block of Payne Avenue on a report of a shooting, said St. Paul Police Sgt. Mike Ernster.
When officers arrived, they found a woman who appeared to have been shot inside the store, he said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Ernster said no arrests had been made; investigators were interviewing witnesses who were inside the store at the time of the shooting. There is no potential threat to the community, he added.
The Ramsey County medical examiner's office will release the cause of death and identity of the woman.
