A 23-year-old man fatally shot a 20-year-old man Wednesday night at a home in Otter Tail County and then shot and gravely wounded himself, authorities said Thursday.

The violence occurred shortly after 9:10 p.m. Wednesday along Hwy. 56, east of New York Mills, according to the Sheriff's Office. The men's identities have yet to be released, and there is no immediate word on what led to the bloodshed.
