1 dead, 2 hurt in rear-end crash in St. Paul

December 12, 2012 at 12:57AM

A two-vehicle crash late Tuesday morning in St. Paul left one person dead and two others injured, authorities said.

The wreck occurred about 10:20 a.m. near W. 7th Street and Maynard Drive on the southern edge of the Highland Park neighborhood, according to Sgt. Paul Paulos.

Mohamed H. Duale, 55, of St. Paul, died at the scene. Paulos said a possible medical emergency might have caused Duale to rear-end another car. The driver and passenger of that car suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Weather was not a factor, police said.
