LOS ANGELES - What do you give someone with a bottomless appetite? More. Travel Channel's Andrew Zimmern, the Minnesota resident with an iron-clad stomach, is abandoning his popular series "Bizarre Foods With Andrew Zimmern" for meatier fare.

"Andrew Zimmern's Bizarre World," debuting Sept. 1, will expand the host's duties beyond the dining table. "It's going to have more depth," said Michael Klein, senior vice president of content for Travel Channel. "Viewers respond when Andrew is exploring culture, like the episode last season when a witch doctor in Ecuador blew fire in his face."

Zimmern himself wasn't on hand as the TV Critics Press Tour kicked off Tuesday in Los Angeles, but colleague Adam Richman provided clips from the second season of "Man v. Food," in which the daredevil diner takes on ginormous burgers and spicy pasta across the country. One place he won't revisit this season: Minnesota, where Zimmern introduced him to lutefisk last year.

When asked if he would partake of the state delicacy again, Richman cringed. "That's not going to happen," he said.
