Zach Parise did not make the Wild's East Coast flight today. The team says he has an upper body injury and is day-to-day.

Parise did not speak to the media after Tuesday night's home loss to the Islanders.

Earlier on Wednesday, winger Jason Zucker was placed on injured reserve with a concussion, which as you know coach John Torchetti said Tuesday he did not have.

But I don't think anybody bought that, and as GM Chuck Fletcher indicated to me before yesterday's game, it would be unlikely that Zucker would travel to Philadelphia and Washington.

Zucker was indeed left behind, as was Parise.

Retroactive to Sunday, the earliest Zucker could be activated is Monday. That means he'll have to miss the next three games, including Sunday's game against Florida.

Jordan Schroeder has recalled from AHL Iowa. Schroeder has one goal, no assists and 11 shots in 13 games for the Wild this season.

He has notched 30 points (11-19=30) in 35 games with Iowa including 14 points (3-11=14) in his last 12 games. Schroeder ranks tied for first on the team in assists and third in goals and scoring.
