Your bird photos on a calendar

A very nice, personal gift

December 7, 2009 at 2:37PM

So many of us are taking bird photographs these days. What do you do with all of those images? Select 13 of the best and put them on a calendar (one for the cover, one for each month). Many Web sites offer this opportunity. The calendar template is provided. You upload photos. They send you a calendar (or as many as you want). Prices on the Web sites I've checked stay at or close to $20 per. I use the iPhoto software that came with my iMac. For the last three years I've made calendars for family and friends. Apple lets you add text to important dates (Grandpa's Birthday!). They've been popular gifts, so much so that people are asking me if I'm doing it again for the coming year. (Yes, I am.) Delivery time is 8-10 days. Work fast.

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
