First off, Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Judd and I hope you have a wonderful and safe day with your family and loved ones.

The Vikings do not have media availability today so we won't have any live updates from Winter Park. We will return Friday morning.

We had a chance to talk to some of the defensive players in the locker room on Wednesday about the problems the secondary faced in a 31-3 loss to the Packers last Sunday. Specifically, cornerbacks Asher Allen and Chris Cook.

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw at the young corners repeatedly with success, which frustrated their teammates. It culminated with defensive end Ray Edwards getting into a heated argument with Cook on the sideline.

Several players also ripped the corners in the postgame locker room. On Wednesday, it was pretty clear that interim coach Leslie Frazier had addressed that situation with players.

"We’ve just got to keep playing together," linebacker Chad Greenway said. "It doesn’t matter what position it is or who it is or what happens during the game, we just have to keep rallying together. If they make mistakes, they’re not the only ones that make mistakes. Everybody had a hand in it. It’s never on one position, one side of the ball. That’s going to be the difference moving forward. We’re going to stick together as a group and that’s the focus."

Cook was benched after a bad second quarter in which he gave up two big pass plays and one touchdown. It's the second time the rookie has been benched in the middle of a game but he said he hasn't lost his confidence.

"I definitely know as a rookie corner in the NFL that everybody is going to try and test you," he said. "It’s in my opinion the hardest position on the defense because you’re out there on an island by yourself every time. I looked forward to the test.
"As a corner, you’ve got to have a short memory. Guys are going to make plays. They pay those receivers to make plays. You can’t stop every play as a corner. And you definitely can’t lose your confidence because you will go in the tank. You can’t be scared to give up plays. You’ve got to want to make plays."
Judd will post the injury report later today. We hope you have a great Thanksgiving.
