XRS names new CFO

XRS Corp., a microcap company that develops software for the fleet-trucking industry, has named Michael Weber to chief financial officer.

Weber joined the company in 2007 and was most recently vice president of finance.

XRS, formerly known as Xata Corp., has reported negative net income for several years as it refocuses on becoming a mobile-only software developer. In its most recent quarter ended June 29, it posted a loss of $6.3 million on total sales of $15.6 million.
