Worst Bond Headline Ever

Seriously, ever.

Even though the Bond movies are mired in MGM's ongoing money-drought, there's always interest in props from the old classic shows:

Why mention this small story? Because you may recall we love examples of lazy feature writing, and this piece may have the laziest. The headline:

"Shaken not stirred: 007's Aston Martin goes up for auction."

That was how Bond liked his martinis, of course, but it has absolutely nothing to do with the car. Except that he said it. And later he drove a car. Good Lord.

Elsewhere in the Bond world, there's the latest in the occasional series of interviews with George Lazenby, here. It's worth a read. You know, he wasn't that bad. They made it impossible for him to follow Connery in the opening sequence, when he said "That never happened to the other guy" and looked at the camera and grinned. Instant death.

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
