COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Universal Sports will broadcast all U.S. Men's National Team games and several additional international games during the 2010 International Ice Hockey Federation World Men's Championship, May 7-23, from Cologne, Gelsenkirchen and Mannheim, Germany.

Live coverage of the event will take place on Universal Sports and at UniversalSports.com beginning with Team USA's tournament-opening match-up against Germany on May 7 at 2 p.m. (EDT). That game, to be played at Gelsenkirchen's soccer stadium, Veltins-Arena, is expected to draw a sellout and world-record crowd of some 76,000 fans.

Additional preliminary-round coverage of the U.S. Men's National Team will include Team USA's game against Denmark on May 10 on a same-day tape-delayed basis and its contest against Finland on May 12 live at 2 p.m. Universal Sports also plans to air all of Team USA's qualification-round games, two quarterfinal games (including Team USA's game if qualified), both semifinal-round games, along with the bronze-medal and gold-medal games.

While a tentative broadcast schedule is shown, more detailed broadcast information including dates, times and platforms will be available at USAHockey.com and UniversalSports.com later next week.

Calling the action for Universal Sports will be John Ahlers, the play-by-play voice of the National Hockey League's Anaheim Ducks. Also providing commentary will be Jim Fox of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings and Brian Hayward of the Ducks.

All of the televised games will also be available online on a pay-per-view basis at UniversalSports.com. Prices will range from $0.99 for individual non-medal-round games to $1.99 for the bronze-medal and gold-medal games and $14.99 for the all-access pass.
