For the third time, Woodwinds Health Campus in Woodbury, part of HealthEast Care System, has been named one of the top 100 hospitals in the country, based on annual research by Truven Health Analytics.

And for setting national benchmarks for improvement over the past five years, Woodwinds also received its first Everest Award.

The designation is based on performance in patient safety, clinical quality, patient satisfaction and cost-effectiveness. It was the only hospital to receive the designation, and the award, in Minnesota.

"For us at Woodwinds, it started with connecting with the community and finding out what they wanted," said Scott North, senior vice president and president of acute-care hospitals at HealthEast, which includes Woodwinds, St. John's Hospital and St. Joseph's Hospital. "We continue to connect every day at HealthEast with the community with our vision for health and well-being for our patients, our community and ourselves."
