Woodbury resident Wade Hanson will be among the 15 contestants competing to become Donald Trump's "Apprentice" when the show returns to NBC on Sept. 16. The popular series, which has focused on celebs in recent seasons, is now going to focus on promising folks who have hit a rough patch in their careers.

Hanson, at one point, was one of the most heralded real-estate agents in the country.

He's also hoping that while he's got his moment in the sun that he can help raise funds and awareness for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. He's challenging himself to sell 60 homes in 60 days and will personally donate $1,000 of each commissino to fuel the fundraising. Hanson, 33, lost his sister to suicide 10 years ago. "I've long wanted to do something to honor her," he said.
