His passion for dance is about to pay off for Zach Manske. The Woodbury boy, 12, has been cast as the title character in Broadway's "Billy Elliot!" Now in rehearsals, he will be be rotated into the show sometime within the next few months. "Billy Elliot!" maintains a stable of young actors who play the title character. They go into productions on the road. Five of them came to the Twin Cities. Manske met them at the opening night party. Manske has been dancing for four years, mainly under the aegis of the Woodbury Dance Center. He has competed nationally, winning the junior national champion title at Starquest dance competition in 2010 and at the Masquerade competition in 2011. He also won the 2010 MN State Fair Amateur Contest for his duet dance.
