Authorities on Monday identified a woman who drowned early this month in a hot tub in a downtown Minneapolis residential high-rise.

The death on March 3 of Mary K. Hieb, 53, was an accident, according to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office.

Hieb lived in Centre Village in the 400 block of S. 7th Street and was in the 15th-floor workout area the night she died, authorities said.

First responders arrived shortly after 11 p.m., but she was soon declared dead at the scene, according to emergency dispatch audio.

Hieb was a registered nurse. Her LinkedIn page said she studied nursing at Minneapolis Community and Technical College.
