Minneapolis fire officials said Wednesday that a woman who was severely burned in a fire on June 4 in north Minneapolis has died of her injuries.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office has not yet released the woman's name.
Assistant Fire Chief Bryan Tyner said fire crews went to a house in the 2700 block of Dupont Avenue N., about 10 p.m. June 4. The woman suffered second- and third-degree burns when her clothing caught fire. She was found in the kitchen. She died Tuesday.
The cause of the fire has not been determined. The woman's death is the third fire fatality in Minneapolis this year.
