A woman was found dead early on Easter morning in St. Paul. Responding to a 911 call of a person being shot at 3:40 a.m., St. Paul police officers found an adult female who was dead in a residence in the 800 block of Pierce Butler Route.
The woman's name has not been released, pending positive identification by the Ramsey County medical examiner's office.
Dimitri Harrell, 21, of St. Paul, was taken into custody in relation to the homicide, according to St. Paul police.
Investigators continue to piece together what may have taken place in the moments leading up to the woman's death, including the nature of any relationship between the man and the victim.
