A two-vehicle collision in East Bethel, in which one vehicle reportedly spun out of control, left a 24-year-old woman dead and two others hospitalized Saturday morning, according to the Anoka County Sheriff's Office.

A little before 9 a.m., the vehicles collided near the intersection of Viking Boulevard and Breezy Point Drive. When rescue crews arrived, one vehicle was found overturned in a ditch. The Blaine woman who was driving that vehicle died at the scene.

Another vehicle was stopped on the roadway, and both the 16-year-old male driver and 46-year-old male passenger were conscious. They were taken to Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.

They told authorities that they had been traveling westbound on Viking Boulevard at Breezy Point Drive when the oncoming vehicle going eastbound went spinning out of control into their lane. As a result of the collision, the other vehicle veered off into the south ditch, rolling over.

The woman's identity has not yet been released.

The Anoka County Sheriff's Office, the Minnesota State Patrol and the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office are investigating.
