Woman, 19, dies, three others injured in a two-vehicle crash near St. Cloud.

A 19-year old woman from Monticello is dead and three others were injured when two vehicles collided head-on on Hwy 23 west of Interstate 94 Saturday morning.

According to the State Patrol, the crash happened just before 9 a.m. when the driver of a Chrysler 300 turned from westbound I-94 into the eastbound lane of Hwy. 23. The sedan collided head-on with a Ford Econoline van, which was in the left eastbound lane of the highway. The road was classified as wet.

The victim was identified as Megan Lehner, 19 of Monticello, a passenger in the sedan.

The driver of the sedan — Ashley Gieseke, 27, of Big Lake — was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with noncritical injuries..

The driver of the van, Joseph Schramel, 43, of Belgrade, and his 12-year-old daughter, Elizabeth, were also taken to St. Cloud Hospital with noncritical injuries.

The patrol said drivers and passengers were wearing seat belts and air bags had deployed.
