Here are some pre-game notes and quotes: --First, Wolves coach Kurt Rambis, who spent the last 48 hours with his team working mainly on defense, said vast improvement is necessary, but not necessarily imminent. "It's always harder to get everybody on the same page on defense (as opposed to offense)," Rambis said in his pre-game chat. "Clearly we scored enough points to win (Wednesday's ) game. But we didn't do enough things the majority of the time to get the stops we needed. So that is an area we'll continue to work on. "We've put a foundation in. It's going to have to continue to evolve and improve. And that takes time. We wish we could snap our fingers, and it would happen really quickly. That's not how it works." The biggest problem was dribble penetration – which doesn't figure to get any easier tonight with the Wolves facing Bucks point guard Brandon Jennings – and weakside help defense. --Luke Ridnour said he doesn't have any special feeling playing his first regular season game against the team he played with the past two seasons – and the team he helped in to the playoffs last year. "I'm looking at it as just another game," he said. "One we have to win." But both Bucks coach Scott Skiles and Jennings himself had lots of nice things to say about Ridnour, particularly how the veteran helped the rookie Jennings along last year. I'll be writing about that for the notebook tomorrow. --Injury update: Not much here. Backup center Kosta Koufos has either a case of stomach flu or food poisoning. He got an IV during the game. He suited up and is seeing how he feels during warmup before deciding whether to play. Meanwhile, Rambis said Wes Johnson's hamstring is well enough to bump his minutes up a little bit, perhaps 20 this game. For the Bucks, Skiles said backup center Jon Brockman (ankle) will play, but that F Luc Mbah A Mout (ankle) is a game-time decision. That's about it. I'll try to tweet a few times during the game.
