Preview: After ending a seven-game losing streak in a 126-123 victory over Golden State, the Wolves will try to break a 13-game losing streak to the Lakers. L.A. has bounced back from an uncharacteristic three-game losing streak (at Orlando, Charlotte and Cleveland) to win four in a row.
Players to watch: It's been a long time since the two teams met -- 46 games to be exact. It was a memorable game back on Nov. 19, because it was the last time Kevin Love didn't record a double-double (zero points, seven rebounds) and the only time he has been held scoreless this season. ... Lakers F/C Pau Gasol is 26th in scoring (18.7 ppg), fifth in rebounding (10.4 rpg) and 11th in field-goal percentage (.531). G Kobe Bryant moved past Elvin Hayes into seventh in the NBA in career scoring in the Lakers' victory in Oklahoma City.
Numbers: The Lakers are eighth in the league in scoring (102.25 points), 10th in scoring defense (96.03). The Wolves are 10th (101.73) and 30th (107.68) in the same categories.
Injuries: Wolves SG Martell Webster (back) practiced again Monday but remains questionable for the game; he has missed three consecutive games. Lakers C Theo Ratliff (knee surgery) is out. F Matt Barnes (right knee surgery) has missed 24 consecutive games.
