Injuries come heavily into play

Preview: Timberwolves forward Andrew Wiggins didn't practice Saturday in Indianapolis except for some shooting because of a sprained ankle suffered Thursday in a 102-96 loss at Milwaukee. Wiggins played the rest of the game, and coach Tom Thibodeau said he expects Wiggins to play on New Year's Eve. "He's very durable," Thibodeau said. "He's good."… Wolves starting point guard Tyus Jones participated fully Saturday after he dislocated his left pinkie finger in Wednesday's final five minutes. … The 19-17 Pacers have lost three consecutive games after Friday's 119-107 loss at Chicago. They won three of four and seven of 10 games before that. Star guard Victor Oladipo missed the past two games because of a sore right knee and is out for Sunday. He's averaging 24.9 points a game.

Players to watch: Indiana center Myles Turner has blocked a shot in all but two of the games he has played this season and is second to Utah's Rudy Gobert in the NBA with a 2.3-block average. … Pacers guard Darren Collison had 15 points and 16 assists in an October victory over the Wolves.

Injuries: Wolves G Jeff Teague (knee) is out. F Wiggins (sprained ankle) and G Jones (finger) are probable. Rookie C Justin Patton is back on assignment with the G League's Iowa Wolves. Pacers G Oladipo (knee) is out.
