MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota Timberwolves have taken Colorado forward Andre Roberson with the 26th overall pick for the Golden State Warriors, who then traded him to Oklahoma City.

A person with knowledge of the situation tells The Associated Press that the Wolves sold their third pick of the first round to Golden State. The Warriors then traded Roberson to the Thunder for a package including the 29th overall pick. The person spoke on condition anonymity because the deal has not been announced.

Roberson averaged 10.9 points and 11.2 rebounds per game for the Buffaloes last season. The 6-foot-7 Roberson shot 51.6 percent from the field and will give the Thunder some depth in the frontcourt behind starting power forward Serge Ibaka.

The Timberwolves also received a future second-round pick in the deal.
