The next round of Club Book author appearances — that program that brings authors to libraries throughout the core cities and suburbs — includes an impressive lineup of world-famous writers, prize winners, and notable regional writers.
Elizabeth Gilbert, best known for her blockbuster bestseller, "Eat, Pray, Love," will be in Burnsville in mid-February. Her memoir, about learning to love again by traveling to Italy, India and Indonesia, was made into a movie starring Julia Roberts.
Paul Harding, dark-horse winner of the Pulitzer Prize for his slender, lyrical book, "Tinkers," will be in Stillwater in Feburary. Walter Mosley, author of 34 books — perhaps best-known for his Easy Rawlins mysteries — will be in Brooklyn Center and Woodbury in April.
Also appearing this spring: poet and memoirist Mark Doty, and regional writers Cathy Wurzer, Pete Hautman and Mary Logue (appearing together), Heid Erdrich and Sandra Benitez.
Club Book is a program of the Metropolitan Library Service Agency, coordinated by the Library Foundation of Hennepin County, and funded through the state Legacy Fund.

FILE -- A rent deposit slot at an apartment complex in Tucker, Ga., on July 21, 2020. As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
