Anne Amie Cuvée A Midnight Saignée Rosé of Pinot Noir 2016

The folks at Oregon's Anne Amie can do no wrong, it seems, with red, white or pink wines. Year in and year out, the Anne Amie Cuvee A Midnight Saignée Rosé of Pinot Noir ($15) is a juicy, delicious delight. Classic strawberry notes on the nose and palate are hallmarks of this pink beauty, which combines great fruit flavors with a vibrant backbone on the midpalate and finish. The grapes are sourced from vineyards with one of my favorite designations: "Salmon Safe." Perhaps coincidentally, this wine actually plays well with that fish and freshwater trout, but it's just as good a match for leafy spring salads, salty appetizers and grilled chicken.

Available at On the Rocks, Stinson, Lunds & Byerlys, Zipp's, Wayzata muni, Thomas, France 44, the Vintage and others.
