2014 Alma Cercius 'In Vino Erotico' Coteaux du Libron

One of the reasons the Languedoc-Roussillon region has been coming on strong of late is vintners throughout its sub-regions are proving adept at making blends. The 2014 Alma Cercius "In Vino Erotico" Coteaux du Libron ($13) showcases sauvignon blanc, chardonnay and viognier — three varieties that generally don't play together — to great effect. This French white is packed with layers of flavors (citrus and tropical fruits, nuts) and textures. The result is a wine with intensity but finesse. A great finish, too. Anything with olives is a fine match for this delight, and grilled or fried chicken or fish will mosey right up to it, too.

Available at Cellars, Dolce Vita, BrightWines, Kowalski's (Woodbury) and Revival Wine, Beer & Spirits.
