Wine

Washington wines are being featured all month at local restaurants and retail stores; one of the best quality-to-price reds is the Thurston Wolfe Doctor Wolfe's Family blend ($17). It combines three grapes I've never seen together: 36 percent each primitivo and lemberger and 28 percent petite sirah. Fresh-as-spring red-berry notes waft from the glass, and the perfectly ripe fruit plays beautifully off the just-firm-enough tannins. Available at Bacchus, Cork Dork, McDonald's, MGM Maple Grove, Oaks, Rum River, Skyway, Solo Vino, Sorella, South Lyndale and Zipp's.
