Wine

The 2013 Sean Minor "Four Bears" California Sauvignon Blanc ($15) is a wine for those who really like New Zealand sauv blancs and/or the California renditions. This white beauty splits the difference, its stout grapefruit and grassy notes melding beautifully with tropical and melon flavors. Welcome acidity and minerality kick off a mouthwatering, surprisingly long finish. Oh, I forgot to mention that it smells like springtime. Bonus points for Mr. Minor naming the wine after his four children. This gem is a stellar al fresco offering on the patio but also plays well with fish tacos, salads with chicken or shrimp and "the other white meat" in its pink form, Easter ham.

Available at Franklin Nicollet, France 44, 1st Grand and Stinson.
