Willmar man, 42, killed in rollover crash

A 42-year-old Willmar man died Saturday after the sport-utility vehicle he was driving went off the road and rolled over in Kandiyohi County.

According to the State Patrol, about 3:30 p.m. the man was driving a 2000 Mitsubishi Montero west on Hwy. 12 east of Kandiyohi, a small city east of Willmar, when the vehicle went off the road into a ditch. The car rolled multiple times and the man, whose identity has not been released, was partially ejected from the vehicle. No alcohol was detected in the man's system, according to the State Patrol.

The man died at the scene and his body was transported to Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar, according to the State Patrol. More details about him will be released in the coming week.
