Add tight end Maxx Williams and wide receiver KJ Maye to the growing list of injured Gophers players.

On Thursday evening, the team released its official injury report for Saturday's game against San Jose State, and Williams and Maye were both listed as questionable, along with left guard Zac Epping and quarterback Mitch Leidner.

"Hopefully out of that group, we'll have two or three that will play," coach Jerry Kill told 100.3-FM on his weekly radio show.

But Kill said defensive end Alex Keith and wide receiver Logan Hutton definitely won't play Saturday.

The good news for the Gophers is that David Cobb isn't on the injury report after playing through a sprained left ankle last week at TCU.

"I feel better," Cobb said. "The legs feel fresh and ready."

Kill did not give specifics on Williams' or Maye's injuries. Williams missed much of spring practice with a knee injury, but there were indications this was a different injury and nothing too serious.

Epping played with a high ankle sprain at TCU. The senior has started 37 consecutive games for the Gophers. If he's unable to play Saturday, Isaac Hayes, Joe Bjorklund and true freshman Connor Mayes would be among the potential replacements at guard.

Leidner sprained the medial collateral ligament in his left knee on Sept. 6, and added a turf toe injury at TCU. After being held out of practice Wednesday, Leidner was expected to try again Thursday.

"We're certainly not going to play that young man unless he's 100 percent," Kill said.

Leidner rushed for 151 yards and four touchdowns, and Cobb added 125 yards and two touchdowns when the Gophers defeated San Jose State 43-24 last September.

If Leidner doesn't play, backup Chris Streveler would make his first college start. Streveler has finished all three games for the 2-1 Gophers and has completed three of his four passes for 30 yards and a touchdown. The speedy redshirt freshman also has 13 rushes for 56 yards.
