Preview: With 57 points, the Wild already has bested its finest first half in franchise history by five points, but the team officially closes the first half Saturday. The Wild has a 10-game point streak on the road (8-0-2), two short of the franchise record. The Wild is 3-1-2 in its past six regular-season games in Dallas. The Stars, who won the Central Division last season, are 11th in the West.

Players to watch: Center Eric Staal's 3,015 shots since 2005-06 are second in the NHL in that span (Alex Ovechkin, 4,391). Stars captain Jamie Benn has 11 goals and 25 points in 28 games against the Wild and had a point in each game against Minnesota in last season's playoffs. C Tyler Seguin has 18 points in 17 games vs. the Wild.

Numbers: The Wild's power play has scored in 10 of the past 12 games. Its penalty kill ranks fourth in the NHL, at 85.1 percent.

Injuries: Stars C Mattias Janmark (knee), RW Ales Hemsky (hip) and D Jamie Oleksiak (hand) are out.
