The Wild trimmed its roster to 44 players today by sending six players to Iowa, one to juniors and releasing former Gophers forward Sam Warning from an amateur tryout contract.

Off to the baby Wild in Des Moines are forward Raphael Bussieres and Tanner Eberle; defensemen Guillaume Gelinas and Alex Gudbranson; and goalies Brody Hoffman and Stephen Michalek.

Center Pavel Jenys was sent back to Sudbury of the Ontario Hockey League. Jenys is 19 but is eligible for the AHL because he was drafted out of Europe. But after seeing him in camp, the Wild felt he would develop better in junior being a "bigger fish in a small pond," assistant GM Brent Flahr told Russo.

The Wild is Columbus tonight ... a couple of lineup changes for that game ... scratch Ryan Carter and add Marc Hagel and Maxime Fortunus.

So the updated lineup: G, Dubnyk and Lalande; D, Folin, Olofsson, Brodin, Strachan, Prosser, Palmquist; F, Coyle, Fedotenko, Fontaine, Zucker, Dalpe, Hagel, Fortunus, Niederreiter, Vanek, Knight, Graovac, Bulmer, Haula.
