Coach John Torchetti said after the Wild beat the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday that "rest" would be key this week after the team played eight games in 13 days and 15 games in 27 days.

He meant it.

After a planned day off Monday, the Wild coach decided to cancel today's practice, too. The Wild should be refreshed and ready to reconvene for Wednesday's practice in preparation for Thursday's home game against the Edmonton Oilers. The Wild then hits the road for three consecutive games at Montreal, Ottawa and New Jersey before playing seven of its last 11 games at home.

Last night, the Avalanche beat the Coyotes, so the Avs and Wild are again tied in points. The Wild remains in eighth place because the Avalanche has played one more game. That will turn into two games in hand for the Wild by the time it next plays because the Avs play the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday.

In other news, the Wild announced Tuesday that season-ticket renewal information will be sent out this week and there will be a 4 percent average increase across all seating options.

Season tickets for the 2016-17 season will range from $25 to $104 per game, and $270 per game for premium Audi On-The-Glass seats, which includes access to the exclusive Audi quattro Club where members enjoy complimentary food, beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages.

Last season, 97 percent of Wild season ticket holders renewed and a season-ticket waiting list was reestablished. Every game at Xcel Energy Center has been sold out this season.

Lastly, inspired by local youth hockey player, Josh Karels, who is using his passion for hockey and bond with his team to fight a stoic battle with a rare disease, Wild goaltender Devan Dubnyk is helping raise funds for two local charities with strong youth hockey ties: the Patrick Schoonover Heart Foundation and the Herb Brooks Foundation.

So starting Wednesday, an online auction will be launched by the Wild on behalf of this.

This auction features unique 2016 Stadium Series memorabilia including a Dubnyk custom stadium series goalie mask donated by Bauer with artwork compliments of Dave Art. The auction will also include team signed items from the Alumni game.
