The Wild has begun its morning skate and there is no sign of rookie Mikael Granlund, who has been reassigned to Houston.
The highly touted Finn and 2010 first-round pick had been scratched in four of the past eight games and needed to get playing. He hasn't scored a goal since opening night and had six points in 19 games.
You can read coach Mike Yeo's quote on the previous blog, but he indicated after Sunday's win over Vancouver that the Wild would do what's best for Granlund's development.
Playing before the lockout ended in Houston, Granlund had 21 points, including eight goals, in 21 games for the Aeros.
