The Wild announced defenseman Tyler Cuma has signed a one-year, two-way contract. Cuma was the team's first-round pick (23rd overall) in 2008, but has been plagued by injuries in his career.

Cuma, 23, played in 42 games with Houston of the AHL last season. He has one NHL game (April 5, 2012) under his belt. Cuma was a restricted free agent.
