MINNESOTA WILD ANNOUNCES PROMOTIONAL SCHEDULE FOR 10TH ANNIVERSARY SEASON

SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The National Hockey League's (NHL) Minnesota Wild today unveiled its promotional schedule for the 2010-11 season. To help commemorate the Wild's 10th anniversary campaign, the team will unveil the results of its Top 10 voting contests during its preseason and first two regular season home games. The Top 10 Moments in franchise history will be announced at the three home preseason games and the greatest moment in franchise history will be announced at the regular season home opener against Edmonton on Oct. 14. The Year Ten All-Time Team will be announced on Oct. 16 when the Wild hosts the Columbus Blue Jackets.

As part of the team's 10th anniversary season, all fans that attend a home preseason game will receive a voucher redeemable for a free limited edition Top 10 Moments print.

Xcel Energy Center will celebrate its 10th anniversary on Sept. 30 when the Wild hosts Columbus in its' final home preseason game. Xcel Energy Center hosted its' first-ever event on Sept. 29, 2000 when Minnesota defeated the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim 3-1 in preseason action. Barenaked Ladies played the first-ever concert in Xcel Energy Center history on Sept. 30, 2000.

All fans that attend the home opener against the Oilers on Oct. 14 will receive a Minnesota Wild Year Ten calendar.

To help celebrate the Year Ten All-Time Team, a bobblehead of each player selected to the team will be given away on the following nights to the first 5,000 fans: Oct. 19, Oct. 25, Nov. 2, Nov. 20, Dec. 1 and Dec. 16 presented by FOX Sports North.

A Top Ten Moments Puck Series will be distributed to the first 3,500 fans at the following games this season: Jan. 2 (Moment #10), Jan. 9, Jan. 18, Feb. 1, Feb. 9, Feb. 15, Feb. 22, March 8, March 22 and March 31 (Moment #1).

Fan Celebration events will occur in conjunction with the final three regular season home games on March 31, April 2 and April 10.
