Preview: The Wild has scored at least five goals in four consecutive regulation games for the first time in history. The Wild has won a season-best four consecutive games but is 0-5-3 at Xcel Energy Center since Dec. 28. It technically ended its eight-game home winless streak with Sunday's 6-1 victory over Chicago at TCF Bank Stadium, however. The Wild's six consecutive losses after the All-Star break that triggered Mike Yeo's dismissal started Feb. 2 in Brooklyn against the Islanders. New York is 5-1-1 in its past seven games.

Players to watch: Wild RW Jason Pominville has three goals and three assists in the past three games after two points in his previous 23. C Erik Haula has four multipoint games in his past seven. D Matt Dumba has four goals in the past nine games. LW Nino Niederreiter has two goals, three assists and is plus-7 in the past four games. LW Zach Parise leads the Wild with 42 points (18-24—42) in 46 games vs. the Islanders; it's his most points against any NHL team. The Isles are led by superstar captain John Tavares, who has 22 goals and 47 points. Minnesotans Kyle Okposo, Brock Nelson, Nick Leddy and Anders Lee rank second, fourth, fifth and eighth, respectively, in team scoring.

Numbers: The Wild, behind 13 goal scorers, has 21 goals (5.25 per game) since John Torchetti took over as coach. The Wild is 12-for-50 (24 percent) on the power play the past 13 games.

Injuries: Wild D Jonas Brodin (broken foot) is out and F Jason Zucker (head) is questionable. Islanders D Calvin de Haan (lower body) and C Mikhail Grabovski (upper body) are out.
