Wild faces big division matchup

Preview: After a 5-2 victory at home Friday against Vegas, the Wild (28-18-5) takes off for an important Central Division matchup with the Stars (29-19-4). Dallas has been clinging to that first wild-card spot for a while, while the Wild keeps dipping in and out of the second in a very close Western Conference. But the Wild is on a eight-game point streak against Dallas (6-0-2) and has gone 10-2-4 in the past 16 games against the Stars.

Quotable: "We just had so many, I don't know, self-made mistakes. They had so many odd-man rushes, probably the most I've seen against us this year. So, I mean, I'm sure there's some excuses there why those happened tonight, but again, we can't have any with these four-point games." – Dallas F Tyler Seguin after the Wild beat the Stars 4-2 in the teams' first meeting of the season Dec. 27 at Xcel Energy Center.

Players to watch: F Jamie Benn leads Dallas with 28 points in 32 games against the Wild while Seguin has 23 points in 21 games. D John Klingberg is the top-scoring defenseman in the league with six goals and 43 assists. Backup G Kari Lehtonen hasn't played at American Airlines Center since Nov. 18.

Numbers: The Wild is 9-17-8 all-time playing in Dallas.

Injuries: Dallas G Ben Bishop (head), D Marc Methot (knee) and F Martin Hanzal (lower body) are out while F Antoine Roussel (sinus infection) is questionable.
