Who should pay for theft at car lot?

Dealership won't help a customer after her van was broken into.

When you drop your car off at a dealership for service, do you expect to get it back in one piece?

A woman who contacted Whistleblower said she left her van at a metro dealership in November 2008. Over the Thanksgiving weekend, the van was broken into. Here's what she wrote:

Should businesses ensure that your vehicle will be safe while it's on their property? Or is it similar to a parking ramp, where the facility is not responsible for any stolen items?
