• Minnesota's 10th Judicial District comprises eight counties, making it the second-largest of the state's 10 judicial districts.
• Forty-five judges serve the district: 17 in Anoka County; 10 in Washington; six in Wright; four in Sherburne; three in Chisago; two each in Isanti and Pine; and one in Kanabec.
• The judges serve from courthouses located in their county seats, but voters from the whole district -- meaning eight separate counties -- elect them.
• District judges are elected to six-year terms, and earn $129,124 a year.
