Mutzenberger named director of business services

Jason Mutzenberger has been hired as Eden Prairie public schools' executive director of business services.

He replaces Patricia Magnuson, who resigned from the district in May after more than 20 years in the job.

Mutzenberger is currently director of business services for the Inver Grove Heights district, a position he has held since February 2013. He has also been financial services supervisor for Richfield public schools.

Mutzenberger, 35, has a bachelor of accounting degree from North Dakota State University.

He will be recommended for hire at the school board meeting on June 10, and is slated to start July 1.

Candidates wanted for board

Citizens interested in running for the Robbinsdale Area Schools board are invited to a seminar at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, at the Education Service Center, 4148 Winnetka Av. N.

Current board members will share information about the process. Preregistration at 763-504-8012 is preferred but not required.

Four four-year seats will be up in the November election. The filing period for candidates begins July 29 and ends Aug. 12. The last day to withdraw is Aug. 14.

Paul Domer is new principal at Eisenhower/XinXing

Paul Domer, assistant principal of Eisenhower/XinXing Elementary, has been named the school's interim principal. He'll begin his new job July 1.

Domer replaces Terri Siquenza, who has accepted a principal position at Eagle Heights Spanish Immersion School in the Eden Prairie district.

After teaching third and fourth grade at Columbia Heights for three years, he accepted a fifth-grade teaching position at Meadowbrook Elementary in 2004. In 2008, he left for two years to take a dean of students position with Bloomington public schools. He returned to Hopkins in 2010 as assistant principal of Eisenhower/XinXing, a position he has held ever since.

Domer has a bachelor's degree in elementary education from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. He also holds an undergraduate degree in child psychology, as well as a master's degree and principal license from the University of Minnesota.

Music boosters sponsor sale

The Wayzata Music Educations Boosters will sponsoring a band and orchestra instrument consignment sale from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, June 24-25, at the Wayzata High School cafeteria (Door No. 34), 4955 Peony Lane N., Plymouth.

Sellers can bring their used instruments for evaluation and pricing on Tuesday, and buyers can shop for instruments on Wednesday.
