West Plagued by More High Winds

California will be subjected to more high winds during midweek. Wednesday, windgusts over 60 mph will occur along the central and northern Californiacoastline and also on the ridges.In Southern California, the highest winds won't set in until late Wednesday andWednesday night.

The high winds will cause severe blowing and drifting snow in the mountains andwill also cause 20- to 25-foot waves to batter the coastline. Some structuraldamage is likely to occur. In addition, strong crosswinds can be very hazardousfor those traveling the open road.
