Blake School will host open house The Blake School will host an admissions open house on Saturday at all three of its campuses. Parents and children are invited, and administrators, faculty and current parents and students will discuss school life, curriculum and activities.

Blake maintains a student-teacher ratio of 9 to 1 to balance academic rigor with personal attention for each student, the school says. Financial aid is available, with $3.5 million of need-based financial assistance awarded to nearly 20 percent of the student body.

Here's the schedule for the open houses on Saturday:

• 9 a.m.-noon for pre-K through eighth grade at the Hopkins Campus, 110 Blake Road S., Hopkins

• 9 a.m.-noon for grades nine through 12 at the Minneapolis Campus, 511 Kenwood Pkwy., Minneapolis

• 10:30 a.m.-noon for pre-K through fifth grade at the Wayzata Campus, 301 Peavey Lane, Wayzata.

On Dec. 3, the school also will offer "A Morning at Blake" from 9 to 11:30 a.m. for pre-K through fifth grade at the Wayzata Campus. Prospective families may attend a financial aid workshop at 9 a.m. on Jan. 9 on the Hopkins campus.

All admissions and financial aid applications must be received by Jan. 31.

EDEN PRAIRIE

Board to host talk on achievement, equity The Eden Prairie school board is hosting discussion sessions on "Academic Excellence and Equity" from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Eden Prairie City Center, 8080 Mitchell Road.

Minnehaha Academy will host open house The Bloomington Campus of Minnehaha Academy, at 102nd and Xerxes next to the Bloomington Covenant Church, is hosting an open house 9:30-11 a.m. Saturday for families interested in enrolling students.

The Bloomington Campus has served the southwestern suburbs for more than 13 years as part of the larger Minnehaha Academy system. It offers a private school curriculum in a Christian environment for pre-K through grade five. For more information, call 952-806-0066.
