Blake School will host open house

The Blake School will host an admissions open house on Saturday at all three of its campuses. Parents and children are invited, and administrators, faculty and current parents and students will discuss school life, curriculum and activities.

Blake maintains a student-teacher ratio of 9 to 1 to balance academic rigor with personal attention for each student, the school says. Financial aid is available, with $3.5 million of need-based financial assistance awarded to nearly 20 percent of the student body.

Here's the schedule for the open houses on Saturday:

• 9 a.m.-noon for pre-K through eighth grade at the Hopkins Campus, 110 Blake Road S., Hopkins

• 9 a.m.-noon for grades nine through 12 at the Minneapolis Campus, 511 Kenwood Pkwy., Minneapolis

• 10:30 a.m.-noon for pre-K through fifth grade at the Wayzata Campus, 301 Peavey Lane, Wayzata.

On Dec. 3, the school also will offer "A Morning at Blake" from 9 to 11:30 a.m. for pre-K through fifth grade at the Wayzata Campus. Prospective families may attend a financial aid workshop at 9 a.m. on Jan. 9 on the Hopkins campus.

All admissions and financial aid applications must be received by Jan. 31.
