Interested in Notre Dame Academy? Open house set

Notre Dame Academy, a regional Catholic school, will host an open house from 9:30 a.m. to noon on Sunday, Feb. 2. The community is invited to take a tour, visit classrooms, and meet with current parents and staff members.

Notre Dame Academy is located on the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church campus at 13505 Excelsior Blvd., Minnetonka. It serves pre­kindergarten through eighth-grade students.

In addition to an all-day kindergarten program, flexible two-, three- and five-day preschool programs are available. Notre Dame Academy also offers before- and after-school care, transportation to surrounding school districts and financial aid.

Kindergarten registration deadline is Feb. 6

If your child will be turning 5 by Sept. 1, it's time to register for kindergarten in Minnetonka Public Schools.

Parents may choose Chinese, English, or Spanish Immersion for their child. The deadline is Feb. 6.

SFM Foundation taking scholarship applications

Local students whose parents were killed or seriously injured in workplace accidents can get some help paying for college from the SFM Foundation.

The Bloomington-based foundation is accepting applications through March 31 for scholarships of up to $5,000 per year for up to five years of schooling.

Students whose parents were hurt while working at a Minnesota or Wisconsin employer are eligible to apply. Recipients are chosen based on financial need and merit, among other factors. To download an application, go to sfm-foundation.org/application.

Dance and auction set at Blessed Trinity

Blessed Trinity Catholic School's all-ages Sno*Ball Dance and Auction will be held on its Penn Campus at 7540 Penn Av. S. on Saturday, Feb. 1.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. with music ending at 10 p.m. All are welcome for dinner, dancing and bidding.

Tickets at the door are $25 per family or $15 per person. A homemade pasta dinner will be available for purchase for $5. Senior tickets also are being sold for $8 and will include the cost of the pasta dinner. Silent auction bidding will end at 8:30 p.m.
