WEEK OF MAY 18

Assist animal: Someone called police to report that a kitten had fallen into a storm drain near Hemingway Drive and Hundertmark Road. An officer climbed down into the storm drain and rescued the kitten. Both the kitten and the officer were unharmed.

MAY 16

Missing child: Five agencies searched for a 10-year-old girl who had run away from her home in the 6300 block of Pioneer Trail. She was located an hour later hiding in a small shack in the woods. She was returned home.

EDINA

MAY 12

Alcohol violation: A 30-year-old Minneapolis man was arrested on suspicion of furnishing alcohol to a minor at Braemar Golf Course, 6364 John Harris Dr.

Drugs: A 25-year-old Edina man was arrested in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop in the 3900 block of 70th Street.

MAY 13

Theft: A bicycle valued at $6,500 was stolen from a garage on the 5500 block of Oaklawn Avenue.

MAY 16

Theft: A lawn mower valued at $2,000 was stolen off a trailer in the 7100 block of Ohms Lane.

MAPLE GROVE

MAY 10

Fire: Smoke coming from a garage was reported on the 7500 block of Inland Lane. Several vehicles in the garage were destroyed. No injuries were reported. The case is under investigation.

Theft: Catalytic converters were cut from five vehicles parked in a lot in the 9600 block of 85th Avenue.

Theft: A 29-year-old Maple Grove woman was arrested on suspicion of theft and possession of narcotics at Wal-Mart, 9451 Dunkirk Lane, after she allegedly pushed a cart full of merchandise out of the store without paying.

MEDINA

MAY 17

Weapon: Officers responded to a building on the 3900 block of Arrowhead Drive regarding a report of four to five men in the building with guns. The officer located a group of juveniles who were filming a zombie movie. The guns were found to be air soft guns.

Animal complaint: Someone called police to report a snapping turtle was in the 4600 block of Bluebell Trail. An officer found the turtle and relocated it.

PLYMOUTH

MAY 15

Disorderly conduct: Two Plymouth women, both age 18, were cited for disorderly conduct in the 6100 block of Vicksburg Lane. The two women had arranged to meet to fight over a previous argument on social media.

RICHFIELD

JUNE 3

Disorderly conduct: Officers responded to the 100 block of 66th Street W. regarding a fight. A 37-year-old woman, a 39-year-old woman and a juvenile were cited for disorderly conduct.

JUNE 8

Drugs: A 21-year-old Minneapolis man was arrested in possession of a controlled substance after narcotics were found in his possession in the 7600 block of Cedar Avenue S.
